Worcestershire Parkway Railway Station is set to take a significant step forward in regional and national connectivity with the launch of new rail services from Sunday 18 May 2025.

For the first time, the expanded timetable introduces opportunities for passengers to board direct trains to Bristol and Edinburgh, offering passengers greater choice, convenience, and flexibility.

The expansion will enable direct connectivity to Yorkshire, the North East, Glasgow, Dundee and beyond Bristol to the South West. There will also be two trains per hour running to Birmingham New Street.

A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council, said: “The introduction of these new CrossCountry services marks a huge milestone for Worcestershire Parkway and rail users across the county. We’re delighted that passengers can now enjoy direct access to cities like Bristol, Edinburgh and beyond, opening up fantastic opportunities for travel, tourism, and business.”

The improvements form part of CrossCountry’s national timetable changes and will provide more frequent and better-timed services for commuters, business travellers and leisure passengers. These new direct connections further establish Worcestershire Parkway as a key transport hub for the county and the wider region.

Alongside improved rail services, passengers can access the station via sustainable travel options, with the station being served by the X50 bus service. This service was enhanced earlier this year, as part of the Council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan and now runs every 30 minutes, providing regular, direct access to the railway station from Worcester, Evesham and Pershore.

The station is also served by the Worcestershire on Demand bus service in Malvern, which offers a flexible, bookable bus service and is ideal for those travelling from more rural locations.
